Doe", but when I applied for my passport (USA), I insisted on including my mother's maiden name on the application and submitted it with "John Lopez Doe". The issue is that my birth certificate (Texas) has me as "John L. Question: I have run into a period punctuation issue in my attempt to apply for Mexican citizenship for which I qualify by birth.
